Description

Learn from an environmental educator from the Sandia Mountain Natural History Center about the parts of an ecosystem and how they connect with one another.

Get outsideĀ  for science-based activities, and discuss observations in the virtual classroom. Investigate a variety of topics and phenomena relevant to New Mexico ecosystems, which may include: animals (consumers) and their evidence, wildlife photos, weather, soil, producers (plants), decomposers, scientific tools and local data.

Program Targeted to: 5th Grade

Program Duration: 2 hrs. virtual; typically 4hrs. in-person

In-person options: On-site in Cedar Crest, or at a State Park or other natural area near you
